A Closer Look: Queer spaces and community memory

Observe, share, listen, and reflect as we visit sites important to the Portland’s LGBTQ+ community. Following a short walking tour lead by Wendy Chapkis and Megan MacGregor, creators of Stepping Out: the Portland, Maine Queer History Trail, we will gather for a community conversation. Participants will be encouraged to add their own memories and present-day experiences to the conversation to help build a living connection to the past of a community whose story is still being written. Each event features different stops – attend one or both!
