Jacqui Lowman, Ph.D., is the founder and president of the nonprofit BEYOND LIMITS: Awaken Your Potential. It’s an organization that believes passionately that what holds us back are often not external forces but the “can’ts” we carry within. We all can go beyond our perceived limits through determination, planning, passion—and a bit of luck. Jacqui has had several near-death experiences. These, in part, have led her—a person with profound physical disabilities—and her service dogs on some fantastic journeys including, in 2025, driving from Maine to the Arctic Ocean and back again.
Along the way, Jacqui and service dogs Mari and Dusty have experienced tremendous kindness and collected amazing stories from the people and places they have encountered. They are eager to share some of these and help inspire you to also go BEYOND LIMITS.

Going BEYOND LIMITS
Jacqui Lowman was born with profound physical disabilities. Most people with her level of disability do not survive birth. If they do survive, they usually do not live to maturity. Jacqui, with her charmed life, beat the odds. This amazing luck gave Jacqui a passion to give back and help others. Along the way she has had so many adventures. Everyone’s Journey differs. Jacqui will share aspects of her life that you can adapt and apply to your own.
This talk is interactive and infinitely customizable. The audience will help shape what we highlight.
Top of the World Journey
In the summer of 2025, Jacqui Lowman and her two service dogs, Mari and Dusty, set out in their adapted van from Maine to the Top of the World: the Arctic Ocean. Let them take you along over their 10,381 mile round trip, sharing some of the people, places, and adventures that they experienced.
